2008 King Henry's Christmas Lunch


Come and join our noble court in this Christmas feast and partake of much merry-making.

Bring friend and colleague for there shall be abundant enjoyment of fine foods with ale and wines from an over-flowing cup served by wholesome wenches.

There shall be a pageant with knights, jugglers and magic and amazing feats of mystery and strength and pretty damsels and handsome knaves who bring the tales and tunes of yore that beguile and delight.

A Darne of hickory baked Scotch salmon on a bed of watercress, rocket and baby spinach topped with red pepper, tomato and black olives served with lemon and aged balsamic mayonnaise

2nd Course
A fresh soup of roasted asparagus and chestnut mushrooms served with a splash of truffle cream and croutons

Main
Roast Norfolk black feathered turkey served with baby beef sausages wrapped in smoked bacon, sage, chestnut and onion stuffing,
oven baked market vegetables and baby roast potatoes in rich burgundy sauce

Dessert
Traditional Christmas pudding and mince pies served with a brandy rum and treacle cream
