2008 Medieval Christmas Banquet


This fantastic christmas medieval banquet takes place by flickering torchlight in the vaulted cellars of Ivory House, just a stone’s throw from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Accompanying King Henry VIII are fighting knights, strolling players, jugglers and dancing wenches which provide a magical medieval pageant for your delight.
After the show, there is music and dancing, or you could take a two minute walk to Tower Bridge and enjoy a panoramic view of London by night

Starters
A tranche of finest Scotch salmon baked in a tropical marinade with coconut milk on a bed of wild salad leaves and topped with a mango and papaya salad served with a spicy lime and chilli dressing

Intermediate
A blend of fresh cauliflower and artichokes in a velvety soup splashed with basil cream and served with olive oil toasted croutons

Main
Free range English chicken braised in a rich blend of herbs and spices, Seville oranges and medieval recipe mead. Served with oven – baked market vegetables and baby roast potatoes.

Dessert
A classical British Yule tart of apples, spices and sun kissed fruits with just a hint of cinnamon and a brandy and molasses cream.

A vegetarian option is available on request – to be ordered at time of booking
